We're incredibly excited to share that Binderr has been selected for the seventh cycle of the VISA Innovation Program Europe. This opportunity gives us direct access to VISA's vast network of partners and the chance to explore new integrations, partnerships, and use cases that align perfectly with our vision. VISA made payments simple. We're making doing business simple, across borders, sectors, and jurisdictions.
A personal highlight: I had the honour of meeting and speaking with Lars Rasmussen, co-founder of Google Maps. His story is a powerful reminder of what's possible when bold ideas meet execution and it was especially fun to bond over our shared Danish roots.
The VISA Innovation Program Europe: Powering Fintech Innovation
The VISA Innovation Program Europe represents a unique opportunity for fintech companies like ours. Unlike traditional accelerators, VIPE is an equity-free collaboration platform designed specifically to help fintech startups grow, enhance their value propositions, and interact meaningfully with VISA and its extensive network of customers and partners.
Launched in 2018, the program has expanded significantly across Europe, now operating in Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. The programme is powered by VISA, in partnership with Endeavor and Eleven VC, and has a strong track record of supporting ambitious companies — including Payhawk, Bulgaria’s first unicorn.
Since its inception, VISA Innovation Program has attracted over 1,446 applications, with 250 fintechs making it to the final phase and more than 120 selected to participate. These companies have benefited from 1,500 hours of mentoring and over 600 referrals, resulting in more than 100 successful partnerships.
The 2025 cycle of the VISA Innovation Program Europe explores four key themes that align perfectly with Binderr's mission:
- Artificial intelligence and promotion of next-generation payment experiences
- Embedded finance and trade empowerment
- Capital movements
- A sustainable and inclusive future
Through the program, we'll gain access to a network of proof-of-concept partners and prestigious organizations, providing us with invaluable opportunities to test and validate our marketplace model and accelerate our path to market.
What This Means for Binderr
Being selected for VISA Innovation Program Europe gives us a powerful platform to scale our solution. The program will run until November 2025, culminating in the VISA Innovation Program Europe Summit where we'll present our progress to market representatives, VISA executives, program alumni, and members of the wider payments ecosystem.
We're particularly excited about the mentorship opportunities and direct connections to decision-makers within financial institutions that the program provides. These relationships will be instrumental in expanding Binderr's marketplace to more firms around the world.
