How Much Does an Offshore Company Cost in 2026?

The offshore company formation cost starts from €1,499 with us. For that you get a company in the BVI, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey or the UAE that you can own 100% from abroad, with 0% tax on most income in the first four and 0% on the first AED 375,000 of profit in the UAE.

The hard part is the yearly bill. The registry fee is only one line: a BVI company pays US$550 a year, a Jersey company £339 and an Isle of Man company £380. The licensed agent, the accounts, the substance report and the bank account come on top, and many quotes leave them out until renewal.

This is where we come in. We form the company ourselves and give you one quote with every cost in it: the setup, the licensed agent or administrator, the yearly filings, the substance check and the account with our banking partner. One team runs it all. You know your first-year cost before you pay anything.

We form offshore companies from €1,499 in the Isle of Man and from €1,899 in the BVI, with the registry filing included and the company ready in about a week.

Offshore Company Setup Cost and Yearly Fees

The offshore company setup cost is paid once, and the yearly fees come back every year. With us, setup starts from €1,499 in the Isle of Man and Jersey and from €1,899 in the BVI, Guernsey and the UAE. The yearly bill then runs from about €1,300 in the BVI to about €8,100 in Guernsey.

Offshore Company Formation Cost Paid Once

The offshore company formation cost is our price for forming the company. It covers the structure advice, the KYC pack, the memorandum and articles, the registry filing fee, the licensed agent and registered office at formation and the first ownership filing. You pay it once, before we file. Trusts, foundations, cell companies, restricted purposes companies and regulated structures are quoted separately.

Government Fees for an Offshore Company

The government part of the offshore company annual fees is the registry's yearly charge. The BVI charges US$550 for a company authorised to issue up to 50,000 shares. Jersey charges £339 for a company run by a licensed administrator, the Isle of Man £380 for a company and £95 for an LLC, and Guernsey £525 for a company administered by a licensed provider. JAFZA in Dubai charges AED 2,500 a year to renew an offshore company.

Offshore Company Setup Cost in One Quote

Offshore company formation is simple when one team prices and runs every step.

  • Jurisdiction chosen for you: BVI, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey or UAE, based on your plan.
  • Registry fee included: The filing fee at formation is part of our price.
  • Licensed agent arranged: We work with licensed agents and administrators where the law needs one.
  • One KYC file: The same pack serves the registry, the agent and the bank.
  • Yearly costs shown upfront: Renewals, filings and accounts in the same quote.
  • Formed in about a week: Once your documents are complete.

Registered Agent and Office Fees

Every offshore company needs a registered office in its jurisdiction, and most need a licensed agent or administrator. In the BVI the registered agent files the annual return and the substance report. In Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man a licensed provider usually acts as administrator, registered office and company secretary. That makes it the largest of the offshore company fees there, often €2,000 to €5,000 a year. Our page on BVI registered agent rules explains the agent's role.

Accounts, Tax Returns and Substance Reports

Most offshore companies keep accounting records and file a yearly return even at 0% tax. Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man companies file an income tax return, and companies with relevant activities report their substance in it. A BVI company files an annual financial return with its agent and an economic substance report. A UAE company files a corporate tax return within 9 months of each tax period. Simple accounts in the Crown Dependencies cost about €900 to €2,500 a year.

How Offshore Company Setup Works and When You Pay

Offshore company setup with us takes about a week once your documents are complete, and you pay our price before we file. The offshore company annual fees start after that, on dates each registry sets. Our guide on how to set up an offshore company covers each step in detail.

Before You Start

Know what the company will do, who owns and controls it, and where its money comes from. These decide the jurisdiction, the entity type and whether a licence or local substance is needed, so we settle them before we quote. Owners abroad follow the same route, as our guide on opening an offshore company as a non-resident shows.

We Quote Every Cost Upfront

You get one written quote with the setup price and every yearly fee: registry renewal, agent or administrator, accounts, substance report and the bank account. Anything that depends on your activity is priced with your setup.

We File the Company and Open the Account

We build the KYC pack, draft the constitution and file it through the licensed agent where one is required, paying the registry fee from our price. Then we open the account with our banking partner and give you a calendar of every yearly deadline.

Start Your Offshore Company Formation

The cost to set up an offshore company is clear from day one when we run the file.

  • Fixed setup price: From €1,499, with the registry filing fee inside it.
  • Documents checked first: We fix gaps before anything reaches the registry.
  • Constitution drafted: Shares, directors and purposes set for your plan.
  • Owners filed correctly: The first beneficial ownership filing done at formation.
  • Deadline calendar: Every renewal and return date for your jurisdiction.

Offshore Company Cost by Jurisdiction

The BVI has the lowest offshore company cost to run among our five, at about €1,300 to €2,400 a year after setup. The UAE comes next, then the Isle of Man and Jersey, and Guernsey costs the most each year. The right choice depends on what the company does, not only on the price.

We look at five things for each jurisdiction: the tax the company pays, our setup price, the yearly government fee, the yearly provider and accounting costs, and the time to form. Pounds, dollars and dirhams are converted at the ECB reference rate of 14 October 2026. The totals leave out the bank account, audits, local directors and substance, which depend on your activity.

Two things drive the gaps in offshore company costs. The BVI and the UAE charge lower yearly fees and need no local administrator, so a simple holding company costs little to keep. The Crown Dependencies charge more because a licensed administrator usually runs the company, and that fee buys a name banks, investors and tax authorities know well. In the BVI the registered agent and office for year one are part of our price, and a UAE company's first renewal falls due after 12 months. A company that needs an audit, a local director or a licence moves up a band in every jurisdiction.

BVI Offshore Company Cost

The BVI suits holding companies, investment vehicles and companies that trade outside the islands and want low yearly fees. We form it from €1,899 in 2 to 5 working days. The Registry charges US$550 a year for a company authorised to issue up to 50,000 shares and US$1,350 above that, under the fee schedule in force since 1 January 2023. The annual fee is due by 31 May for companies formed from January to June and by 30 November for the rest. Paying within 2 months late adds 10%, and later than that adds 50%.

Add the registered agent and office renewal, about US$500 to US$1,500 a year, and about US$350 to US$650 for the annual financial return and the economic substance report. An ordinary BVI company needs no audit, so it runs at about €1,300 to €2,400 a year. For a company that holds one investment or one asset with no staff, this is the cheapest of the five to keep. The catch is banking: the BVI is on the FATF list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring in its June 2026 update, so banks ask more questions. Our guide on how much a BVI company costs breaks down every line.

Isle of Man Offshore Company Fees

The Isle of Man suits trading and holding companies that want 0% tax on most income, a well-regulated address and UK-style banking. We form it from €1,499 in about a week. The Companies Registry charges £100 to incorporate within 48 hours, which our price covers. If timing matters, its 2-hour service costs £250 and the while-you-wait service £500. The annual return then costs £380 for a company and £95 for an LLC when filed on time, rising to £480 and then £630 for a company that files late.

A 2006 Act company must have a licensed registered agent, often about £1,500 to £1,800 a year with the office. Accounts and the yearly tax return add about £800 to £2,300. That puts the Isle of Man offshore company fees at about €3,200 to €5,300 a year, and the first year at about €4,700 to €6,800. The catch is the 10% rate on banking income and large retail profits, and 20% on island property income. Read our Isle of Man company cost guide and the Isle of Man registered agent requirements.

Jersey Offshore Company Cost

Jersey suits holding companies, joint ventures and property structures that need a name investors and lenders trust. We form it from €1,499 in about a week, working with licensed administrators. The JFSC Registry charges £200 to incorporate within 5 business days, which our price covers, and £520 for a 1-day service. A 2-hour incorporation costs £820, which we use only when a deal needs it.

Each year the company files a confirmation statement between 1 January and the end of February. It costs £339 including the government levy for a company run by a licensed administrator, and £220 for others. Late filing adds £75 in March, rising to £740 by the end of September. The administrator's fee, about €2,000 to €4,500, and accounts, about €900 to €2,500, are the larger lines, so plan about €3,300 to €7,400 a year. The catch is that most owners abroad need the administrator. See our guide on the cost of Jersey company formation.

Guernsey Offshore Company Fees

Guernsey suits holding companies, funds and insurance vehicles, and groups that want no capital gains tax and a strong regulator. We form it from €1,899 in about a week through licensed providers. The Guernsey Registry charges £100 for a standard incorporation within 24 hours under the fee schedule in force since 1 December 2025, and our price covers it. Rapid incorporation within 2 hours costs £500. Protected and incorporated cell companies pay £785 a year plus a fee for each cell, and we quote them separately.

The annual validation is filed between 1 January and the end of February. A company administered by a licensed provider pays £525, and a company not run by a provider pays £260. A late validation is an offence that brings a civil penalty. With the provider's fee and accounts, the Guernsey offshore company fees come to about €3,500 to €8,100 a year, the highest of the five. The catch is cost: Guernsey pays off when the structure needs its reputation. Our Guernsey offshore company formation guide covers the setup.

UAE Offshore Company Cost

A UAE offshore company suits owners who want a holding or trading company linked to the Gulf, with 0% tax on the first AED 375,000 of profit and 9% above it. We form UAE companies from €1,899 in about a week. RAK ICC shares its fee schedule with registered agents rather than publishing it, so its registry fee sits inside the agent's yearly fee and we quote it with your setup. Agents' all-in yearly packages run about AED 8,000 to AED 12,000, about €2,000 to €2,900.

JAFZA publishes its fees: AED 10,000 to register a new offshore company and AED 2,500 a year to renew, plus AED 120 for each 30 days of delay. The registered agent files the renewal online and JAFZA processes it in 1 working day. Because of that higher registration fee, we quote JAFZA companies with your setup. The UAE ended economic substance reporting for financial years ending after 31 December 2022, but every company still registers for corporate tax and files a return. Which Jurisdiction Fits Your Budget

Choose the BVI if you want the lowest offshore company running costs for a holding or investment company and do not need a local administrator. Choose the UAE if your business or bank relationships sit in the Gulf. Choose the Isle of Man for 0% tax with UK-style banking at a mid-range cost. Choose Jersey or Guernsey if investors, lenders or a fund structure need a top-tier name, and budget €3,300 to €8,100 a year for it.

Look at five years, not one. On the ranges above, a simple BVI company costs about €7,500 to €12,400 over five years, and a Guernsey company doing the same job about €19,400 to €42,400. That gap is worth paying only when the structure needs what Guernsey gives it. If you are unsure, tell us the activity and the owners, and we price two jurisdictions side by side in one quote.

Offshore Company Formation From €1,499

We form the company where it fits your plan and price all the offshore company annual fees before you start.

  • Five jurisdictions covered: BVI, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and UAE.
  • Licensed administrators arranged: Where Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man require one.
  • Substance check included: We tell you if your activity is in scope.
  • Remote setup: No travel needed for a standard company.
  • Clear scope: Trusts, foundations and cell companies priced separately.

Documents Needed for an Offshore Company

You need the same core documents in all five jurisdictions. A complete file keeps the offshore company setup cost at our quoted price, because missing papers add certification and courier fees and delay the filing.

  • Passport copy: Certified, for each director, shareholder and beneficial owner.
  • Proof of address: A utility bill or bank statement under 3 months old.
  • Source of funds: How the money going into the company was earned.
  • Business description: What the company will do, where and with whom.
  • Ownership chart: Every layer up to the individuals, with documents for company shareholders.
  • Bank reference or CV: Some agents and banks ask for one, mostly in the Crown Dependencies.

Offshore Company Annual Fees and Running Costs

Offshore company annual fees start at about €1,300 a year in the BVI and reach about €8,100 in Guernsey before audits, directors or substance. The registry fee is the smallest part. The licensed agent or administrator and the accounts make up most of the yearly bill in every jurisdiction.

Hidden Offshore Company Fees to Budget For

Hidden offshore company fees appear after setup: late filing penalties, certified documents and apostilles, extra owners and the cost of restoring a struck-off company. Each is small on its own, but together they can add hundreds of euros a year. A simple calendar avoids most of them.

Late Filing Penalties

Every registry charges more when you file late. The BVI adds 10% to the annual fee, then 50%. Jersey adds £75 to £740 to the confirmation statement. The Isle of Man raises the annual return from £380 to £480 and then £630. JAFZA adds AED 120 for each 30 days. Our page on BVI annual compliance and filing lists the dates.

Share Capital and Extra Owners

A BVI company authorised to issue more than 50,000 shares pays US$1,350 a year instead of US$550. Extra shareholders, corporate owners and share classes add KYC work for the agent. Set the share capital right at the start.

Strike-Off and Restoration

A company that stops paying is struck off, and bringing it back costs more than the fees you skipped. Our guides on how to close an offshore company and restoring a BVI company explain both routes.

What Pushes Offshore Company Costs Up

Offshore company costs go up when the company needs local people, a licence or more reporting. A holding company with one owner stays near the low end of each range. A company that trades, manages money or holds IP in the Crown Dependencies can cost several times more.

Local Directors and Board Meetings

Some structures need resident directors or board meetings in the jurisdiction to stay tax resident there. A provider director is a yearly fee per person, so add one only when your tax position or a bank needs it.

Economic Substance in the Islands

Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man apply substance rules to income from nine relevant activities, including headquartering, finance and leasing, fund management, IP and holding. Those companies must be directed and managed in the island, with adequate staff, premises and spending there.

Licences and Regulated Activity

Banking, insurance, fund management, gaming and crypto need a licence, with its own fees, capital and audit. We quote those structures separately.

Complex Ownership and Higher-Risk Sectors

Trusts at the top, several layers of companies or owners from higher-risk countries add due diligence for the agent and the bank, and a higher yearly fee for each layer.

Substance, Tax and Reporting Costs After Setup

After setup, most of the cost of an offshore company is reporting, not tax. Substance rules, ownership filings and tax information exchange apply in all five jurisdictions in some form. They cost little when the company is simple and files on time.

Economic Substance Rules by Jurisdiction

The Crown Dependencies' substance laws apply to accounting periods starting on or after 1 January 2019, and companies in scope report in their tax return. The BVI requires a yearly substance report through the registered agent, with a lighter test for pure equity holding companies. The UAE removed substance reporting for financial years ending after 31 December 2022, as our page on UAE economic substance rules explains.

CRS 2.0 and Crypto Reporting

The amended Common Reporting Standard and the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework apply from 1 January 2026 in Jersey and many other jurisdictions, with the first exchanges in 2027. Banks and e-money institutions report the company's accounts to tax authorities, including the owners' home countries.

Beneficial Ownership Registers

All five jurisdictions keep a register of the people who own or control each company. The filing at formation is part of our price. Later changes must be filed on time, and agents usually charge for each one.

Pillar Two Minimum Tax

The 15% global minimum tax applies only to groups with revenue of €750 million or more. For founders and family structures, the rates in the comparison table apply in full.

The EU Tax List and Payments

On 9 October 2026 the Council of the EU adopted its latest list of non-cooperative jurisdictions, and none of our five is on it. The BVI sits in Annex II, the group with pending commitments, while Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and the UAE have none. Read more: how to use an offshore company for tax planning.

Offshore Bank Account Cost

An offshore bank account adds a monthly fee, transfer charges and weeks of review at a local bank. Island banks publish modest fees, but they mainly take companies with a real link to the island. Our banking partner opens accounts for offshore structures in about a week, priced on the structure.

In the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, HSBC's business price list charges £8 to £10 a month for a business account, £17 for an online international payment and £6 for most incoming currency payments. Lloyds Bank International charges £20 a month and serves businesses based in Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man. For BVI companies, the FATF listing adds checks at banks everywhere. Our guides on Isle of Man offshore banking and BVI offshore banking for companies go deeper.

Our Banking Partner for Offshore Companies

Our banking partner for holding companies, SPVs and other complex structures opens multi-currency accounts in EUR, USD, GBP, AED and more than 50 other currencies, usually in about a week and fully remotely. The fee is quoted with your setup, because it depends on the structure. It is a regulated payment and e-money institution, not a bank: it does not lend, and client money is safeguarded rather than covered by a deposit guarantee.

How to Keep Offshore Company Maintenance Cost Down

The offshore company maintenance cost falls when the company is the right type, in the right place, with every filing on time. Most savings come from decisions made before setup, not from cutting corners later.

Match the Jurisdiction to the Job

A holding company with no staff does not need Guernsey's yearly bill. A BVI or UAE company often does the same job for a third of the cost. Pay for the Crown Dependencies only when investors, lenders or a regulator need them.

Choose the Right Entity Type

An Isle of Man LLC files its annual return for £95 instead of £380. A BVI company with up to 50,000 authorised shares pays US$550 instead of US$1,350. Small choices at formation cut the offshore company annual fees for good.

File Early Every Year

Late fees are the easiest cost to avoid. Jersey and Guernsey both open their annual filing on 1 January and close it at the end of February. File in January and the penalty never applies.

Keep One Provider for Everything

One team for the agent, the accounts and the filings avoids duplicate KYC checks and handover fees. Our guide on offshore vs onshore companies helps you check the offshore route is worth it at all.

Common Mistakes With Offshore Company Fees

Most mistakes come from judging the cost to set up an offshore company and ignoring the yearly bill. These four cost founders the most.

Comparing Setup Prices Only

People pick the cheapest setup quote and find the yearly fees later. A €300 saving at setup means little when the yearly bill is €2,000 higher. On the ranges in this guide, a Guernsey company can cost about €12,000 to €30,000 more than a BVI company over five years for the same job. Ask every quote for the first-year and the ongoing yearly cost, and judge it on those.

Leaving the Bank Account Out of the Budget

Founders form the company and then try to open an account alone. Weeks of bank review cost time and can end in a refusal that the next bank asks about. Plan the account with the company. We open it with our banking partner as part of the setup, and its fee is in the quote.

Ignoring Substance Until a Tax Authority Asks

Owners in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man sometimes assume a 0% company has nothing to report. If the company has income from a relevant activity, it must meet the substance test and report it. Failing it brings penalties that rise with each failure and can end in strike-off. Check the activity before you form the company.

Missing the First Renewal

The first renewal is the one most often missed, because it arrives a year after setup. A late BVI annual fee costs 10% more within 2 months and 50% after that. Put every date in your calendar on the day the company is formed.

Plan Your Offshore Company Costs With Us

Tell us about your plan and we come back with a full offshore company cost for year one and every year after.

  • Every cost in writing: Setup, registry, agent, accounts and the account.
  • Jurisdiction advice: The one that fits your activity and budget.
  • Licensed roles covered: Agents and administrators where the law needs them.
  • Banking planned early: The account opened with the company.
  • One team throughout: No email chains between providers.

Bottom Line on Offshore Company Cost

How much an offshore company costs depends far more on its yearly fees than on its setup price. With us, setup starts from €1,499 in the Isle of Man and Jersey and from €1,899 in the BVI, Guernsey and the UAE, with the registry filing included. After that, plan about €1,300 to €2,400 a year in the BVI and up to about €8,100 in Guernsey, before the bank account and any audit or substance.

For a simple holding or investment company, the BVI gives the lowest yearly bill. For a company that needs a top-tier name, choose Jersey or Guernsey and budget for the administrator. Send us your plan and we will give you one quote with every cost for every year.
