Cyprus company formation cost is low for an EU company. The Registrar charges €165 to incorporate, the €350 annual levy was abolished from 2024, and stamp duty ended on 1 January 2026. In return you get an EU company with 15% corporate tax, an IP box at about 3% and no minimum share capital.
The hard part is seeing the full number. The Registrar fee is the smallest cost of year one. A Cyprus lawyer must swear the HE1 declaration, every company needs a secretary and a registered office, and every company files audited or reviewed accounts. Older quotes may also still show the levy or the 12.5% rate.
This is where we come in. We form the company ourselves, from €1,200, with the Registrar fees, the lawyer's filing, the office and secretary at formation and the first tax and ownership filings included. You get one written quote, a first-year budget you can trust and a company ready in about a week.

How Much Does a Cyprus Company Cost
A Cyprus company costs from €1,200 to form with us. That price is for a standard private company limited by shares, with the Registrar fees and the lawyer's filing included. A realistic first year, with the accounts, the audit or review, the annual return and a business account, comes to about €4,000 to €7,000.
The formation is paid once, and most of the first-year Cyprus company cost is running costs. For the setup process itself, see our Cyprus company formation guide.
What Our Cyprus Company Formation Price Includes
Our Cyprus company formation price covers the legal steps to a working company. It includes the structure advice, your KYC pack, the memorandum and articles, the name approval and the Registrar fees. It also includes the Cyprus lawyer's HE1 declaration and filing, the registered office and company secretary at formation, the tax number registration and the first beneficial ownership filing. The Registrar's certified copies and translations are official extras, quoted with your setup when your bank asks for them. We confirm the price and scope in writing before you pay.
Low Registrar Fees and No Annual Levy
Cyprus keeps its official charges low. The Registrar fee is €165, the annual return costs €20 when filed on time, and no annual levy has applied since 2024. Stamp duty also ended on 1 January 2026.
Affordable Cyprus Company Formation
Affordable Cyprus company formation starts with low official fees and a simple tax system.
- No annual levy: The €350 yearly levy was abolished from 2024 onwards.
- Low Registrar fees: €165 to incorporate, plus €100 for accelerated processing.
- 15% corporate tax: One rate, with most dividends received exempt.
- About 3% on IP income: Qualifying IP profit is taxed through the IP box.
- No stamp duty: Abolished from 1 January 2026.
- From €1,200 with us: Formed in about a week, Registrar fees and lawyer included.
Cyprus Company Structures We Price Separately
Trusts, foundations, funds, regulated and high-risk structures are quoted separately, because they need a licence, a different legal form or specialist banking. A licensed business, such as one planning crypto company formation in Cyprus, gets one quote for the company and the licence work.
Cyprus Company Registration Fees
Cyprus company registration fees are set by the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property. It charges €165 to incorporate a company with share capital and €100 more for accelerated processing. With us, both fees and the name approval fees are inside the €1,200 starting price.
Registrar Incorporation Fee in 2026
The Registrar's forms and fees page sets €165 for Forms HE1, HE2 and HE3 filed together, online or by hand. A company with no share capital pays €235. The accelerated service costs €100 on top. Both the €165 fee and the accelerated service are included in our price.
Company Name Approval Fees
The Registrar charges €10 for each proposed name and €20 more per name for faster processing. An approved name is reserved for six months. We check your names against the register and trademarks first, so a refused name does not cost you time or another name fee.
Certified Copies and Translation Fees
Banks ask for certified copies of the company certificates. The Registrar charges €120 for these when a copy of the memorandum and articles is submitted, or €130 without one. The memorandum and articles are filed in Greek, and a file of translations for certified English copies costs €160. Both are official extras, quoted with your setup when your bank asks for them.
Fees That No Longer Apply in Cyprus
The €350 annual levy was abolished from 2024 onwards by Law 25(I)/2024, published on 15 March 2024, although unpaid levies for 2011 to 2023 are still owed. Stamp duty was abolished from 1 January 2026. Our page on the Cyprus annual levy explains what older companies still owe.
Cyprus Company Registration Cost With Fees Included
Your Cyprus company registration cost with us already includes the Registrar's incorporation fees.
- Registrar fees paid: The €165 filing and the €100 accelerated service.
- Names cleared first: Checked against the register and trademarks before we apply.
- HE1 sworn for you: A Cyprus lawyer makes the declaration before the court.
- One KYC pack: Built once for the lawyer, the Registrar and the bank.
- Office and secretary arranged: Both in place from the day the company exists.
- First filings made: Tax number and beneficial owners registered on time.

Annual Running Costs of a Cyprus Company
The annual running costs of a Cyprus company are mostly accounting and the audit or review, not government fees. As a planning range, a simple company spends about €2,700 to €5,900 a year from the second year, including a business account plan. The office and secretary renewal is quoted with your setup.
Accounting, Tax Return and the Audit or Review
Every company keeps books, prepares accounts and files a tax return. As planning ranges, bookkeeping costs about €800 to €1,500 a year and the tax return about €300 to €1,200. The accounts are audited every year. For financial years starting on or after 6 February 2026, a company with turnover under €300,000 and gross assets under €500,000 for two years in a row can have a review by a licensed auditor instead. Plan about €1,200 to €2,000 for either. See accounting services in Cyprus.
Registered Office, Secretary and the Annual Return
Every company keeps a registered office in Cyprus and a company secretary. Both are arranged at formation as part of our price, and the yearly renewal is quoted with your setup. The annual return, Form HE32, costs €20 when filed within 28 days of its date. Late penalties are capped at €150 plus fees, and the Registrar can strike off a company that keeps missing returns.
UBO Confirmation, VAT Returns and Payroll
Every company confirms its owners on the Cyprus UBO register between 1 October and 31 December each year. Fines start at €200 plus €100 a day, up to €20,000. Quarterly VAT returns add about €600 to €1,200 a year, and payroll about €30 to €75 per employee a month, both as planning ranges. In 2026 the employer also pays 8.8% Social Insurance and 2.9% to the health system on each salary. On top come 2% to the Social Cohesion Fund, 1.2% to the Redundancy Fund, 0.5% for training and 8% to the Holiday Fund unless the employer is exempt.
Cyprus Company Formation Fees in One Quote
We set out the Cyprus company formation fees and yearly costs before you pay.
- Written scope first: Price and scope confirmed before any payment.
- Renewals priced early: Office and secretary renewal quoted with your setup.
- Dates listed for you: The HE32, the yearly owner confirmation and the tax dates.
- Bank extras priced: Certified copies and translations quoted when your bank asks.
- Audit planned: Review or full audit identified from your expected turnover.
First-Year Cyprus Company Cost by Profile
The Cyprus company cost in year one depends mostly on what the company does. A quiet holding company costs the least, and a trading company with VAT and staff costs the most. These ranges include our formation price and the first year of running costs.
Company profile | Realistic first year | What drives the cost |
|---|---|---|
Holding company with one owner abroad | About €3,900 to €4,500 | Light bookkeeping, a simple audit or review, no VAT or payroll |
Simple trading company, owner abroad | About €4,000 to €5,500 | Bookkeeping volume and the audit |
Trading company registered for VAT | About €5,000 to €8,000 | Quarterly VAT returns and EU sales listings |
Startup with staff in Cyprus | About €6,000 to €9,000, plus salaries | Payroll, Social Insurance and fuller accounts |
Investment firm, EMI, crypto or fund | Quoted separately | A licence, regulatory capital and specialist banking |
Most founders abroad fall in the first two rows. For a company that holds shares in others, see our guide to holding company formation in Cyprus. A company that sells to EU consumers or hires in Cyprus should budget from the third or fourth row.
Cheap Cyprus Company Formation
Cheap Cyprus company formation is possible, because the official fees are low. A low price only helps if it includes what every Cyprus company must have: the lawyer's filing, a secretary, a registered office and the first filings. Our Cyprus company formation price from €1,200 includes all of them.
What Low-Fee Company Registration in Cyprus Includes
A low-fee company registration in Cyprus still has legal steps that cannot be skipped. A Cyprus lawyer swears the HE1, the company has a secretary and a registered office from day one, and the memorandum and articles are filed in Greek. The tax number is due within 60 days and the beneficial owners within 90 days. These are requirements, not extras, and our price includes each one.
How to Get the Best Price on Cyprus Company Formation
To get the best price on Cyprus company formation, check the full scope in writing. It should cover the Registrar fees, the lawyer's filing, the office and secretary at formation with the renewal price, the tax number and the first beneficial owner filing. Our written scope covers all of this before you pay.

Cyprus Company Formation Cost for Dropshipping
The Cyprus company formation cost for dropshipping is the same, from €1,200, because an online store uses a standard private company. What changes is the running cost: VAT on EU sales, One Stop Shop returns, payment processing and more bookkeeping. Plan on the VAT trading profile of about €5,000 to €8,000 in year one.
VAT and the One Stop Shop for EU Sales
Since 1 July 2021, an EU-wide threshold of €10,000 applies to sales of goods to consumers in other EU countries. Below it, Cyprus VAT rules apply. Above it, the company charges the VAT of each buyer's country. The union One Stop Shop lets it declare that VAT in one quarterly return in Cyprus, due by the end of the month after the quarter.
Dropshipping Goods From Outside the EU
For goods shipped from outside the EU in consignments worth up to €150, the import One Stop Shop lets the seller charge VAT at checkout and file one monthly return. From 1 July 2026, the EU also charges a fixed customs duty of €3 per item category on parcels under €150. This applies until the €150 duty relief is removed, which the Council expects in 2028. Build both into your prices.
Payments and Banking for an Online Store
A store needs a payment gateway that accepts its products and a business account for the payouts. Card fees are charged per transaction and depend on the products and the sales risk, so they belong in your margin plan. Read our guide to a payment gateway in Cyprus and our page on banking for online businesses.

Set Up a Cyprus Company for Dropshipping
A Cyprus company gives an online store an EU base and an EU VAT number.
- EU VAT number: Registration timed to your first sales in the EU.
- OSS ready at launch: Union and import One Stop Shop needs planned before you sell.
- Customs costs known: The €3 per item category duty built into your plan.
- Payments prepared: We build the file for a gateway that accepts your products.
- Account in days: Our banking partners open multi-currency accounts remotely.
Bank Account Costs for a Cyprus Company
Bank account costs for a Cyprus company depend on the route. Local banks charge due diligence or review fees on top of a maintenance fee, and they review new companies with owners abroad slowly. Our banking partners cost about €30 to €100 a month on a published plan and open accounts remotely in days.
Local Bank Fees in Cyprus
Bank of Cyprus's June 2026 commissions and charges for international business customers list a €500 enhanced due diligence fee for new customers, €50 a month for an active EEA company and review fees of €500 to €2,000. Alpha Bank Cyprus lists a €400 fee to assess a new business relationship from 19 January 2026. Ancoria Bank's tariff from 9 July 2026 charges a maintenance fee of €15 a quarter for a Cyprus-resident company and €25 a quarter for a non-resident one. Eurobank, which merged with Hellenic Bank on 1 September 2025, also opens company accounts. Banks in Cyprus follow the Central Bank's shell company guidance, so refusals are common for new companies with no local activity, and a complete file matters.
Account Costs With Our Banking Partners
We work with regulated banking partners that open multi-currency business accounts for Cyprus companies remotely, in days, with no minimum balance. They are payment institutions and EMIs, not banks, and their published plans cost about €30 to €100 a month. We prepare one KYC pack for the company and the account and make the introduction. See how we plan Cyprus company formation with a bank account.
Factor | Local banks in Cyprus | Our banking partners |
|---|---|---|
Monthly cost | €50 a month at Bank of Cyprus, €25 a quarter at Ancoria for a non-resident company | About €30 to €100 a month on a published plan |
Opening time | Weeks of review for owners abroad | Days, from a complete file |
Branch visit | Sometimes requested | Not needed, fully remote |
Best for | Companies with staff, premises or a loan | Founders abroad who need to trade quickly |
For founders abroad, the partner route is the faster start with a published price. A local account can follow once the company has staff, premises or a loan. Read about business bank accounts vs EMI accounts.

Tax Costs for a Cyprus Company
The main tax cost for a Cyprus company is 15% corporate tax on taxable profit from 1 January 2026. Most dividends it receives and gains on shares are exempt, and qualifying IP income is taxed at about 3%. VAT at 19% is charged to customers, so it is a filing and cash flow cost rather than a cost on profit.
Corporate Tax at 15% From 2026
The rate rose from 12.5% to 15% on 1 January 2026. On €100,000 of taxable profit, that is €15,000 of tax, or €2,500 more than before. Tax losses now carry forward for 7 years instead of 5.
Dividend Tax and Special Defence Contribution in 2026
From 2026, a company's interest income is taxed only at 15%, with no Special Defence Contribution. The reform cut SDC on dividends to Cyprus-domiciled residents from 17% to 5% on 2026 profits and ended the deemed dividend rule for those profits. Non-domiciled residents pay no SDC on dividends, and most dividends paid to non-residents carry no withholding tax. Residents also pay 2.65% to the health system on dividends. See our page on Cyprus dividend tax.
VAT at 19% and the Registration Threshold
VAT is charged at 19%, with reduced rates of 9%, 5% and 3%. A company registers once its taxable supplies pass €15,600 in 12 months, or are expected to within the next 30 days. A company that sells services to businesses in other EU countries registers whatever its turnover. Late registration costs €85 for each month of delay. See Cyprus VAT rates.
Cyprus Company Cost vs Malta, Ireland and the UK
The Cyprus company formation price is the lowest of the three EU countries we form in, from €1,200 with us. The UK is cheaper to form, from €350, but it is outside the EU. Yearly costs differ mostly in the audit rules: Cyprus audits or reviews every company, while Ireland and the UK exempt small companies.
Factor | Cyprus | Malta | Ireland | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Our formation price | From €1,200 | From €1,299 | From €1,899 | From €350, Companies House fee included |
Company tax | 15% | 35% headline, about 5% effective after the 6/7ths refund | 12.5% trading, 25% non-trading | 19% small profits, 25% main rate |
Yearly registry filing | Annual return, €20 on time | Annual return to the Business Registry | Annual return, €20 online | Confirmation statement, £50 online |
Audit | Audit, or a review for very small companies from 2026 | Audit, with relief for very small companies from 2025 | Not needed within the small company limits | Not needed for small companies |
EU member | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
Time with us | About 1 week | About 1 week | About 1 week | About 1 week |
For a holding or IP company, Cyprus is usually the best value in the EU once the exemptions are counted. For a small trading company, the yearly audit or review can make Cyprus cost more to run than Ireland or the UK.
Cyprus vs Malta Company Cost
Malta starts from €1,299 with us, and its 35% headline rate falls to about 5% on trading profit after the 6/7ths shareholder refund. The refund follows a dividend and a claim, so cash comes back later. Cyprus is simpler at 15%, paid once. See how much a Malta company costs or our Cyprus vs Malta comparison.

Cyprus costs less to form and suits holding and IP structures better. Read about the cost of starting a company in Ireland.

Who a Cyprus Company Is Wrong For
A Cyprus company is the wrong choice if the lowest yearly cost is your only goal, because it needs a yearly audit or review and a secretary, which a small UK company does not. It also does not fit if you want 0% tax, or if every decision will be taken at home. Our guide to the lowest corporate tax in Europe compares the EU rates, and our page on what an Isle of Man company costs covers a 0% option.
Common Mistakes With Cyprus Company Formation Costs
Most problems with Cyprus company costs come from missing lines and old figures, not from high fees. Each of these three is easy to avoid.
Budgeting Only for the Formation Fee
Many founders budget for the formation and nothing else. The first year of a simple company comes to about €4,000 to €7,000, and the audit or review alone adds about €1,200 to €2,000 as a planning range. A founder who plans only €1,200 then has to find several thousand euros in year two, when the first audit and tax return fall due. Put the accounts, the audit, the annual return and the account plan into the budget on day one.
Planning With Old Cyprus Fees and Rates
Older quotes still show the 12.5% rate, the €350 annual levy and stamp duty. The rate has been 15% since 1 January 2026, which adds €2,500 of tax on every €100,000 of taxable profit, while the levy and stamp duty are gone. A budget built on the old figures shows the tax too low and the fees too high. Plan on the 2026 rules, then look at what lowers the bill legally, such as the IP box and the exemptions on dividends and share gains.
Missing the Small Filing Dates
The yearly filings in Cyprus are cheap when they are on time. The HE32 costs €20 on time, but late penalties run up to €150 plus fees. A missed beneficial owner filing starts at €200 plus €100 a day, up to €20,000, and a late VAT registration costs €85 for each month of delay. Put every date in one calendar when the company is formed. We make the first tax and ownership filings at setup, so nothing starts overdue.
Cyprus Company Formation Price for Complex Setups
Some structures are priced on scope, and we confirm the price in writing.
- Holding and IP groups: Dividends, gains and the IP box planned from the start.
- Licensed activity: CySEC or Central Bank licence work priced with the company.
- Several owners or layers: Corporate shareholders and share classes checked early.
- E-commerce across the EU: VAT, the One Stop Shop and payments planned together.
- Honest advice: We tell you when Malta, Ireland or the UK costs you less.
Bottom Line
A Cyprus company costs from €1,200 to form with us, with the Registrar fees, the lawyer's HE1 filing, the office and secretary at formation and the first tax and ownership filings included. The official fees are low: €165 to incorporate, €20 for the annual return, no annual levy since 2024 and no stamp duty since 2026.
The real budget is the first year: about €4,000 to €7,000 for a simple company and about €3,900 to €4,500 for a quiet holding company. Accounting and the audit or review are the largest lines.
For holding, IP and EU trading companies, Cyprus is one of the best value EU choices. We form the company through our Cyprus company incorporation service, ready in about a week, and our banking partners open the account in days from the same file. Tell us what the company will do, and we send you one written quote.
